Acacia and Cobham Partnership Project

Acacia Systems is proud to partner with Cobham Special Mission to undertake an aircraft integration project for the Dash-8 surveillance aircraft in Adelaide. These specialised aircraft are deployed by Cobham to conduct airborne surveillance and search-and-rescue missions for the Australian government. The project involves upgrading critical technology both onboard and within the Cobham ground operations command centre. Acacia will also provide long-term, through-life support for the software, including further development and upgrades.

This latest project builds upon the long-term, highly-valued partnership between Acacia and Cobham Aviation Services, which has the legacy of developing Australia’s first customised Mission Management Systems (MMS) for aircraft considered national Tier 1 assets. Our partnership has demonstrated the capacity to provide sovereign solutions rather than reliance on imported technology.

In the words of our founder and chairman, Ted Huber: “We are extremely proud of the work we have done with Cobham to date and are thrilled to continue this strategic partnership to develop and install custom software that contributes to safeguarding Australia.”

James Woodhams, Managing Director of Special Mission at Cobham said, “We are committed to working with smart Australian companies – such as Acacia – to continue to innovate and build our capability within civil and military domains in Australia and abroad.”
