The Australian Financial Review reports on Acacia System’s research collaboration project, supported by the Defence Innovation Partnership, for Australia’s Future Submarines. This research offers the opportunity to significantly increase the operational capability of the Attack Class submarines through the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques to the combat system. The project will focus on advances in detection and tracking capabilities, classifying sonar signals, periscope imaging, and assisting command-level decision making.
